20 Mobile Email Marketing Stats That’ll Make You Better at Your Job

By 2022, Statista anticipates that more than 333 billion emails will be sent each data. To give you an idea of how big that number is, if each email were a star, the cluster would be 50% bigger than the Milky Way Galaxy. I hope I’m not the only one who thinks the statistic above is mind-blowing. At this point, email has proven to be a major communication tool for both consumers and marketers. But, as this channel has thrived, mobile technology. such as smartphones and tablets, has also become much more abundant in society. How to Network Online Like a Champ

Posted by cheryldraper This conference season feels a bit different, doesn’t it? Where we’re usually globetrotting from event to event, this year most conferences have either postponed their dates or switched to online, remote-friendly formats, offering video sessions by top-notch speakers or live streams with open chats. But what about everyone’s favorite bonus during conference season — networking? Thankfully, all is not lost! With a little ingenuity and virtual elbow grease, you can still forge new professional relationships over an internet connection rather than a cocktail. (And hey, nothing’s stopping you from enjoying a nice, frosty Mozcow Mule or tasty mocktail in your home office space, right?) In our current reality of social distancing, marketing conference networking […]

Google Ads’ Policy Crackdowns Continue via @SusanEDub

Google Ads’ Policy Crackdowns Continue via @SusanEDub

It’s been a busy few weeks for Google Ads and their policy updates. Today, two more are added to the list: account pausing for violations and additions to their Misrepresentation policy. Account Pausing Due to Violation The statement is somewhat vague, and oddly lumped in with an update about the identity verification program. This is curious, given the policy language, which is “we may temporarily pause accounts to conduct investigations if we identify potentially harmful advertiser behavior. Paused accounts cannot run any ads.” It notes the same action will be taken for accounts that do not complete the identify verification process. Google has announced the same day that identity verification […]

Google Chrome to Hide Parts of URLs in Future Update via @MattGSouthern

Google is working on ways to hide parts of a website’s URL in the address bar, showing only the domain name. This update could be coming as early as the next version of Chrome (version 85), according to documents discovered by Android Police. The documents reveal details about experimental features in a pre-release version of Chrome that modify the appearance and behavior of the browser’s address bar. An experimental feature is referred to, in Chrome developer terms, as a “flag.” The main flag found by Android Police is called “Omnibox UI Hide Steady-State URL Path, Query and Ref.” This feature makes the Chrome browser hide all parts of a URL […]

Black Lives Matter content: Latest in unintended brand safety consequences

Black Lives Matter content: Latest in unintended brand safety consequences

An ad for Septicease displays on a New York Times article about Black Lives Matter. No offense to Septicease, but the company would likely admit it is not a brand-name advertiser. That its ad is showing at the top of a New York Times article about the dramatic increase in public support for the Black Lives Matter highlights the deep misalignment between media consumption (rising) and digital ad spend (declining) that often occurs in pivotal societal moments. In the name of “brand safety,” some advertisers are blocking their ads from appearing on content about the Black Lives Matter movement and protests, Ad Age reported Friday. Some marketers are even blocking […]

What’s Digital Asset Management and why are marketers adopting the technology?

What’s Digital Asset Management and why are marketers adopting the technology?

Digital Asset Management platforms, often called DAMs, are software programs that store, organize and enable the more efficient use of an organization’s entire library of digital assets. A DAM is the “single source of truth” where marketers can find every relevant version of the media assets that have been created for the brand — images, PDFs, photographs, audio, video and even virtual reality or other cutting-edge formats. This phenomenon is driving brands to shift to a customer-centric marketing model that requires personalized content to be delivered to a wide variety of customer touchpoints –– an approach that is more easily implemented with Digital Asset Management technology. More about Digital Asset […]
