Snapchat Adds Swipe-Up to Call Ad Option in the Middle East

Snapchat has added a new option to its ‘Swipe Up’ ad tools, with ‘Swipe Up to Call‘ ads which drive direct phone calls from the ad in-app. Up till now, Snapchat advertisers have been able to drive website visits, extended video views and app installs from ‘Swipe Up’ ad links. The capacity to power phone calls adds to your options – as explained by Snapchat: “Driving a user to call your business can close a purchase quickly, as your sales associates have more control over the user experience by speaking with the consumer directly. More importantly, a user calling showcases a high level of consideration and intent to purchase, which businesses can capitalize […]

As part of its broader efforts to provide increased transparency within political discussion, Twitter has this week announced a new version of its profile labels for election candidates, which will better identify who they are, and where they’re standing in the 2020 US election period. The new labels will include additional info – as explained by Twitter: “Starting this week, we’ll start identifying candidates who qualify for the primary ballot for US House, US Senate, and Gubernatorial races with a verified badge. 7 Request for Approval Emails to Make Client Communication Easier [Templates]

When you’ve got an important email to write, it can seemingly take hours. You write, revise, delete, and agonize over every word, link, and even your email signature. While we’re talking about one-on-one communication, it’s a worthwhile pursuit to create a library of canned email responses or templates that your team can use for specific activities or in response to clients. It ensures that the communication from your team is clear and consistent, makes it easier to respond to requests more quickly, and removes the uncertainty that junior staffers […]

SMX Overtime: Managing your online business reviews

SMX Overtime: Managing your online business reviews

Last month I spoke at SMX East about scaling online reputation management – specifically reviews. At the end of my presentation, “14 Tips to Scale Reviews Across Multiple Locations,” I fielded a number of fantastic questions from session attendees and wanted to follow-up on some additional ones. How do I convince clients to respond to reviews on Google? First and foremost, responding to customer reviews builds trust. When a business responds to reviews, it demonstrates that it cares enough about its customers to respond to them. Being responsive builds trust not only with the person who wrote the review but also with future customers who might be looking at reviews […]

How this major update affects the search ecosystem is yet to be determined. But this may prove to be a turning point both for Google and for us as digital marketers. In this article, I will explain what I am tracking, how I am tracking it, make some observations about the data […]
